FALL 2010 TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

 

1-                 EACH GAME WILL HAVE A 25 MINUTE TIME LIMIT.

2-                 THERE IS NO HALF TIME.  

3-                 A GAME WILL START ON THE SOUND OF THE HORN AND WILL END ON THE SOUND OF THE HORN.

4-                 IF ONE TEAM IS SET TO START THE GAME AND THE OPPONENT IS NOT AND THE HORN SOUNDS FOR THE GAME TO BEGIN- THE TEAM THAT IS READY MAY BEGIN AND ELECT TO SCORE WITHOUT OPPOSITION.

5-                 IF A PLAYER RECEIVES A YELLOW CARD I N ONE GAME AND LATER RECEIVES A YELLOW CARD IN ANOTHER GAME, THE PLAYER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN THE TOURNAMENT.

6-                 IF A PLAYER RECEIVES A RED CARD IN A GAME, THE PLAYER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN THE TOURNAMENT.

7-                 IF A PLAYER RECEIVES TWO YELLOW CARDS IN ONE GAME, THE PLAYERWILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN THE TOURNAMENT.

8-                 THE REFEREE WILL GIVE THE SCORECARD TO THE DESIGNATED “RUNNER” AT THE END OF THE GAME RIGHT AWAY!!

9-                 A RECORD OF PLAYERS RECEIVING RED AND YELLOW CARDS WILL BE KEPT AT THE SCOREBOARD LOCATION.

10-               IF A PENALTY SHOT IS CALLED AT THE TIME THE HORN SOUNDS FOR THE GAME TO END, THE PENALTY SHOT WILL BE FOLLOWED THROUGH AND ANY SCORE WILL COUNT.

11-               IN THE TOURNAMENT COACHES MAY USE THE SAME GOAL KEEPER WITHOUT CHANGING.

12-               PLAYERS MAY PLAY SET POSITIONS IN EACH GAME.

13-               YOU MAY PLAY WITH ANY NUMBER OF PLAYERS UP TO ELEVEN.  YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO PLAY ONE MORE PLAYER THAN THE OTHER TEAM IF THEY HAVE LESS THAN ELEVEN PLAYERS ON THEIR TEAM.SEVEN PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO PLAY ON EACH TEAM. IF THE OPPOSING TEAM HAS 10 PLAYERS YOU MAY PLAY 11. IF THE OPPOSING TEAM HAS 9 PLAYERS YOU MAY PLAY 10. IF THE OPPOSING TEAM HAS 8 PLAYERS YOU MAY PLAY 9. IF THE OPPOSING TEAM HAS 7 PLAYERS YOU CAN PLAY EITHER 8 OR 9 PLAYERS.

14-               YOU MUST PLAY EACH PLAYER AN APPROXIMATE EQUAL AMOUNT OF TIME. THE ROTATION OF PLAYERS IS UP TO YOU AS THE COACH.

15-               THE ONLY PLAYERS AVAILABLE TO PLAY ARE THE ONES LISTED ON THE TEAM ROSTER YOU RECEIVED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, PLUS ANY ADDITIONS ASSIGNED BY THE BOARD DURING THE REGULAR SEASON.

16-               DURING THE TOURNAMENT, IF YOUR TEAM IS LESS THAN ELEVEN PLAYERS YOU MAY BORROW PLAYERS FROM OTHER TEAMS IN THE SAME DIVISION ONLY WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE PLAYERS’S COACH AND THE REFEREE COORDINATOR/OFFICERS OF THE LEAGUE (APPROVAL IS BASED ON INDIVIDUAL CONSIDERATION OF EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES).

17-               APPROVAL OF BORROWING PLAYERS MUST OCCUR BEFORE THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT.

18-               IF A PLAYER IS INJURED DURING THE TOURNAMENT AND THE INJURY PREVENTS THEM FROM PLAYING, THE PLAYER MAY BE SUBSTITUTED BUT NOT REPLACED BY BORROWING A PLAYER FROM ANOTHER TEAM.

19-               SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ON THE FLY – THE COACH IS NOT REQUIRED TO TELL THE REFEREE – SUBSTITUTIONS MUST BE MADE AWAY FROM THE PLAY OF THE BALL.

20-               THE BLUE TEAM HAS THE KICK OFF TO START THE GAME.THE RED TEAM CHOOSES WHICH GOAL TO DEFEND.

21-               HIGHEST POINT TOTAL IS DETERMINED BY THE FOLLOWING POINT SYSTEM:

                    WIN 6 POINTS

                    TIE 3 POINTS

                     1 POINT FOR EACH GOAL SCORED UP TO 3 GOALS.

                    1 POINT FOR THE FIRST GOAL SCORED.

                    FORFEIT (due to less than 7 players)-8POINTS

                    ALL DETERMINATIONS OF POINTS AND FORFEITS WILL BE MADE BY THE LEAGUE OFFICIALS

*NOTE*

IN THE EVENT OF A TIE IN THE FINAL GAMES OF DIVISION 3 AND 4, A LEAGUE DECISION WILL BE COMMUNICATED ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT.

 

ALL REQUIRED EQUIPMENT RULES FOR THE SEASON APPLY TO THE TOURNAMENT AS WELL.

·       SHINGUARDS COMPLETELY COVERED BY SOCKS

·       LEAGUE SHIRT, NOTHING MAY BE WORN OVER THE SHIRT

·       NO JEWLERY

·       NO HAIRCLIPS

·       NO TAPE COVERING ON EARRINGS

·       NO EXCEPTIONS!!
