Construction and Fundraising has begun on
The Pavilion at DiCaprio Park
DiCaprio Park, opened in 2003, is home to our youth soccer and lacrosse programs. Each year, the Park serves over 2,000 athletes and their families. There is a real need for a Pavilion to provide our children with shelter and restroom facilities. To date, past contributions and cost reductions have resulted in 60% of the funds needed, and construction is now underway.
Guilderland Youth Soccer Association, Guilderland United Soccer Club and Guilderland Lacrosse have joined together to raise the additional funds needed to complete the project. Our first effort has begun with our “Paver Project”. To show your support you can purchase a paver brick, engraved with your name or personal message. Offered in 2 sizes, the pavers will be placed in a patio area adjacent to the pavilion.

Guilderland Youth Soccer Association (“GYSA”) provides over 1,000 youth with the opportunity to develop athletic interests and sportsmanship and experience the game of soccer in a recreational setting. Each season GYSA issues a booklet containing the schedule of games, team rosters, and other important league information along with advertisements from our generous sponsors. The booklet is distributed to all players and their families. Contributions from donations and sponsors help support the cost of publishing this booklet, the new DiCaprio fields and support the GYSA program.
